About

I’m Dr. Tracy Paeschke, a board-certified cardiologist with more than 25 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine. My practice focuses on plaque-directed cardiovascular prevention using advanced biomarkers, imaging, and personalized risk reduction strategies to help people prevent heart disease before it occurs.

Cardiology has traditionally focused on treating heart attacks after they occur. My work focuses on identifying and stabilizing coronary plaque years before it causes a cardiac event.

Why I Focus on Prevention

After more than two decades practicing cardiology, I became increasingly focused on preventing heart disease rather than treating it after it occurs.

Many cardiovascular events develop over years as plaque gradually builds in the coronary arteries. By identifying risk early and addressing the biological drivers of plaque progression, it is often possible to significantly reduce long-term cardiovascular risk.

This perspective led me to create a practice dedicated to preventive cardiology and long-term cardiovascular health.

My Approach to Cardiovascular Prevention

My approach combines advanced cardiovascular testing, personalized risk assessment, and long-term prevention strategies. Depending on the patient, this may include advanced lipid testing, metabolic evaluation, inflammatory markers, and coronary plaque imaging.

The goal is to understand each patient’s cardiovascular risk as clearly as possible and develop a thoughtful strategy to reduce that risk over time.

How My Practice Works

Because cardiovascular prevention requires ongoing monitoring and adjustment, I work with a limited number of patients in a structured prevention program rather than providing isolated consult visits.

This allows for a more thoughtful and individualized approach to long-term cardiovascular risk reduction.
